making tracks

Another cold day, yet another sweet creation. My sister, (creator of newbie-blog Utterly Negligent), works for an amazing artisan café called, well...called Café Artisan. Catchy, isn't it? :)   At the big parade-day last Saturday, the café made about a million of their homemade ice cream sammies.  Homemade can sometimes mean, "buy the ice cream, scoop it between two store-bought cookies...";  the fact that it was constructed at home makes it 'homemade.'   No, no, no. At the Café Artisan, when I say 'homemade', I mean completely homemade.  Handcrafted and specifically flavored ice cream perfectly sandwiched between two homemade graham wafer cookies.  Strolling by, I glanced at the menu to be wowed by the flavor combinations: Strawberry Cheesecake on vanilla-graham cookies, Caramel Praline on vanilla cookies, Double Chocolate on chocolate wafers, and so many more....

I was somewhat inspired - somewhat bored yesterday morning, so I decided to try my hand at it. I grabbed a few snickerdoodles my mum made two days ago, a table spoon, and some moose tracks ice cream, (my father's faaaaavorite).  It turned out pretty good, if I do say so myself. So easy. Not exactly homemade, but 50%....

Voilaaa! :)
