Today was definitely a day to just play guitar with Nick, kill some zombies on Xbox, and zone out in front of the TV with sugary cereal...seriously...all 3 meals (and snackies), of the day came out of a cardboard box with a cartoon animal on the front. Oh wait. I had an apple too. Good.

This photo shoot was a little weird to set up, seeing as my partner in crime is visiting his family for the night. So, imagine my monster-sized pink suitcase propped up on a bed, my camera tucked into a front pocket of the suitcase with only the lens poking out, and me standing on a TV tray thing so you see the whole outfit. Yes, me jumping up and down on the TV tray for every shot.   A little ridiculous, no?  Ok. On to watch the Kardashians...you know, do whatever it is they do.

Thrifting gold today, I tell you. Thrifting gold! There must be more to those random little thrifty places - the ones that almost seem creepy and have an odd  odor overall:  they seem to have the best stuff. Weird. Got some goodies for under 10 bucks. A chartreuse maxi, (always wanted something 'chartreuse'), and a totally 80's denim jacket. Went to the World Market...(jawdropping collection of pastel-coloured marshmallows, zillions of Haribo gummies, and shiny booze bottles fit for a king - or sparkly fairy princess).  I can't resist drooling over the Nutella-blends! Vanilla + Nutella must be genius....

Ok...must study for finals now. I feel like an uuber-nerd studying for finals a week early, but this weekend is going to be, erm, full.  xoxoxoxoxo

WAIT. Did anyone see Michael Bublé on Regis & Kelly this morning? He is soo dreamy. Made my morning in the gym much, much easier. :))

Today felt like a very....very typical Wednesday. The school week is *almost* over, but the weekend just isn't close enough. You know that feeling? 

I'm so incredibly ready for the quarter at school to be over! Arg!  Finals, quizzes, projects - seems like everything gets thrown into the pile at once. But, I guess I'm glad that I procrastinate just enough to not drive myself crazy. Speaking of procrastination...I've been meaning to hit the gym all day today...I'll do that now.

:)))  BUT I've gone and found a nice blog - full of inspirations, love it. She totally reminds me of Miss Rumi from fashiontoast, no? Both are gorgeous gals....here's Jenny.

Here's the most basic of updates on what I did this weekend:

- Found the most perfect of perfect unicorn pendants at forever 21

- Morrocan feast at Marrakesh...I'm a total convert...loooved it!

- Watched the news...has anybody elses' heart beat increased by a tenfold after seeing what's happening in Japan?  Does anybody else get a little clammy, a little choked up, a nervous feeling spreading throughout your entire body?  Just this feeling of helplessness, - for them, but also for yourself because there's so much you want to do, so many you want to help, but you just can't by yourself...

The last thing I did:

- Prayed. Just prayed for them.

- Even if there's no other way we can help, nothing else we can do from where we are...we can pray.

 Adventures are turning up in the most random places, - whether it's raiding Starbucks for those free 'cake-pop' things, dancing in the living room to 50's Swing King tunes, or scouring F21 in search of the perfect felt hat, (and finding it!), everything has just gone so....so...just so SWELL this weekend.  I just bought the most perfect flippy floral skirt and we're out for Indian food tomorrow with some friends.

In unrelated news, I'm searching for the perfect way to tailor these horrid black stretchy slack-pants. You know the type? Like, polyester's best friend-sort of material, with a high waist.  Maybe a bit skinnier around the ankles? I was thinking about pulling in the end seams around the ankles and fastening with those vintage shoe-clips. Yes...I may still do that.

Any tailoring suggestions?

It's officially possible to fall in love with a chunk of land...I've completely fallen for the city-sun-people-pier-bubble tea, everything.  I'm now utterly launching into my research on Cali univrsities and internships...

The trip was amazing. Travel is so inspiring! Here are some random photos from the trip...my camera is bursting with about a hundred random shots of the concrete elephants.
